Welcome to the WordPress Group. This powerful blogging platform is what I have installed on my server now. I run it with the WicketPixie theme. It is a wonderful platform for power users. Although, you need to have a good understanding in HTML before you start with WordPress. Other platforms like Joomla cannot compete with this amazing blog software. Yes, I have my own servers that I run it on. I have a domain but that is from GoDaddy. I have been with WordPress for years. It is great. Sure, SynthaSite and all of those free web hosting, easy build stuff is fine but if you really want to be able to tweak you brains out, WordPress is the way to go. Go ahead, express how you feel about WordPress.
